Chucks!

I got the best surprise in the mail today! Chucks for the girls!
A friend of mine sent me a package with Chucks and sparkly hairpins for the girls and BooBoo got pink tissue-paper to sleep on. This was the best thing to cheer me (and the girls and BooBoo too) up on this gloomy Monday.

Rockin' in WoollyRockers!

A gorgeous sweater knitted by Liz (aka. WoollyRockers) arrived today. Enid hogged the rockin' sweater right away, luckily Cholé doesn't really care for clothes.
Needless to say that the sweater is basolutely beautiful and it's incredibly well made too. And yes, it does indeed rock.
Thank you ever so much Liz! :D

The girls get mail!

The girls recieved a little package today. They were really excited as they don't usually get any mail.

Enid got to opening the package right away as Chloé looked on. Enid used my good fabric scissors even if I told her not to.

The package contained shoes!
The girls were so happy to finally have footwear, and Chloé was actually a little overwhelmed by getting such cool shoes.

Enid and Chloé are also happy with their new traveling case that I got earlier this week. The pillow is made out of some silk that I had floating around, and I'm afraid that the girls are now a little spoiled by all this luxury.

BooBoo Kitty Fuck took part in the photo shoot too. I had to bribe her away from the dolls and shoes and stuff by giving her a rubberband. :D

Made an outfit

I finally finished the outfit I've been working on for nearly a week. I can't believe all the trouble I ran into with this, but I am glad to finally have it done. :)
The lining still shows from under the edge of the hat, but I'm just too tired o do anything about that anymore. I've been battling with it for way too long now and I don't think that it's going to get any better any more no matter what I do with it.

I hope miss Roma Beefstake is going to like this outfit. :)

Kirsten Ulve rocks my socks!

I just stumbled up on a post about a Blythe charity auction and saw a Blythe designed by Kirsten Ulve.

Kirsten Ulve Blythe

Kirsten Ulve is an amazing artist/illustrator and I've been a fan of her work for ages now. It's so great to see an artist you admire working a doll that you love.
This has really made my day today. :)

Dresses!

After finally figuring out what I was doing wrong when printing the patterns, I whipped up a few dresses for the girls. I popped by the fabric store yesterday and was inspired! I bought three different fabrics and rushed home to sew. I made a mock up of the dress yesterday and then made Enid's dress and today I made Chloé's.
It now takes me to make this dress from start (cutting out the fabric) to finish (poppers sewn in and final ironing & pressing done) about 1.5 hours. I still have some tweaking to do, as the lining peeks out here and there on the top as I forgot to make it that tiny bit smaller than the top. I wish that my sewing machine was cabable of doing nicer stitches though. No matter what I do, the bottom stitch is fugly!

The girls are now pretending it's summer, despite the snow and -10°c temperature outside.

I think I need to sew more...

I have this sneaky suspicion that the girls want me to make some more clothes for them...

I made the underwear they're wearing yesterday out of some old flea market finds, Enid's slip used to be a robe and Chloé's top and panties were originally an undershirt.
The paper doll clothes are vintage ones that I found on the 'net and I will provide a link to them as soon as I manage to find it again.
Oh, and even if you can't see Chloé's hairpin that well, I made it out of an old button and it's suprisingly cute. :)

"I'm really not into this paper thing at all!"
